A star-studded musical tribute unfolded at the pre-Grammy MusiCares Person of the Year gala, honoring rocker Jon Bon Jovi. Held at the LA Convention Center, the gala featured a notable moment when Bruce Springsteen joined Bon Jovi on stage for the hit, "Who Says You Can’t Go Home?" Despite the recent passing of his mother, Springsteen performed as he was both a friend and mentor to Bon Jovi. This year's Person of the Year, Jon Bon Jovi, lauded the event for its charitable efforts, highlighting the unifying power of music and expressing deep gratitude for Springsteen's participation.

The night included renditions of Bon Jovi's iconic hits by various artists. Sammy Hagar brought youthful nostalgia with "You Give Love a Bad Name," while Melissa Etheridge took on "Blaze of Glory," and Jason Isbell presented "Wanted Dead or Alive." The event concluded with a powerful ensemble performance of "Livin' On a Prayer," bringing the audience together in rock solidarity. Host Jim Gaffigan lightened the mood with humorous takes on Bon Jovi's 1980s glam-rock style, making the night a heartfelt and joyful tribute to a music legend. Recognized among past honorees like Joni Mitchell and Billy Joel, Bon Jovi expressed humility and pride in receiving this distinguished accolade.
